Why I'm opening this space
Labels travel fast. The data that takes them apart travels much slower. This is where I collect it.

On LinkedIn a post lives for two days.
A piece of research can matter for years. But it often reaches fewer people.
That’s why I’m opening this space.
I’ve worked with data at Kantar for eight years. I’ve studied inequality since university. The thread hasn’t changed: a label doesn’t explain a person.
«Gen Z» doesn’t tell you who is sitting in front of you in an interview.
The NEET acronym doesn’t tell seven different stories.
Age doesn’t explain how someone uses AI.
Labels are useful, of course. They help us find our way. But when they stop being a starting point and become a conclusion, they stop explaining anything.
What you’ll find here
- Reflections: short pieces, sparked by a number or a news story.
- Studies: the research I work on, with method and limits stated upfront.
- Articles: pieces published elsewhere, collected in one place.
One rule applies to all of them: every number has a source and a year. If I can’t verify a figure, I don’t write it.
One number to remember, one source to check, one question to take home.
That’s the promise of this site.
If you work in HR, marketing or research and want to look at people beyond the box we put them in, you’re in the right place.
Which label would you like to see taken apart first?
